Rubén Octavio Sepúlveda Chapa is an architect from ITESM with studies in Energy, Environment and Sustainability from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Since 2006 he directs Dear Architects, an architecture office based in the northeastern city of Monterrey in Mexico. The main discursive interest of the office lies in identifying the characteristics of the site, potentiating them for development and human experience and generating value through architectural work, creating physical and psychological comfort through place and time. Their work has been published internationally and presented at events and conferences in cities throughout Mexico, Spain, and Costa Rica.

The Berlage Keynotes is an ongoing lecture series featuring internationally prominent architects, designers, and thinkers who are at the forefront of design discourse and innovation. A selection of speakers working from different disciplinary perspectives and in different geographic, cultural, and political contexts present how their work engages with contemporary issues and debates. This spring semester, speakers include Andrés Jaque, Dear Architects, Design, Bitches, Francesca Hughes, Shohei Shigematsu, Studio Folder, and Tomoaki Uno.

All lectures are viewable online at theberlage.nl and are open to the public at the Orange Room, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Delft.
