The Berlage

The Easy Solution is Hard to Find

This lecture will present the work of PRODUCTORA, a Mexico City-based architectural studio founded by Abel Perles, Carlos Bedoya, Victor Jaime, and Wonne Ickx. PRODUCTORA´s work is distinguished by an interest in precise geometries, the production of clearly legible projects with limited gestures, and the search for timeless buildings in their material and spatial resolutions. The studio’s work has been presented in the Architectural Biennials of Beijing, Venice, and Chicago; at the National Art Museum of China; and at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The Berlage Keynotes is an ongoing lecture series featuring internationally prominent architects, designers, and thinkers who are at the forefront of design discourse and innovation. A selection of speakers working from different disciplinary perspectives and in different geographic, cultural, and political contexts present how their work engages with contemporary issues and debates. This spring semester, speakers include Christ & Gantenbein, OOZE, Francesca Torzo, Manthey Kula, PRODUCTORA, Anna Puigjaner, Vector Architects, Kieran Long, and Diener & Diener.
