MONADNOCK

This lecture presents the work of the Rotterdam-based office MONADNOCK, founded in 2006. MONADNOCK has received international attention for their beach pavilion on the river Maas, an installation entitled Make No Little Plans for the 2019 Chicago Architecture Biennale, a landmark for the municipality of Nieuw Bergen, and most recently a pavilion for the national park Hoge Veluwe, which was nominated for the 2022 EU Mies Award.

The Berlage Keynotes is an ongoing lecture series featuring internationally prominent architects, designers, and thinkers who are at the forefront of design discourse and innovation. A selection of speakers working from different disciplinary perspectives and in different geographic, cultural, and political contexts present how their work engages with contemporary issues and debates. This fall semester, speakers include MONADNOCK, Formafantasma, Lowie Vermeersch, GROSS.MAX., Matilde Cassani, HArquitectes, Kayoko Ota, and Annette Gigon.

All lectures are viewable online at theberlage.nl and are open to the public at the Orange Room, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Delft.
